Phil has over 20 years experience in mechanical engineering and is a frequent visitor to southern African nations. A British citizen, he has worked across several industries from calibration and maintenance systems to stress analysis in metals.
His background means he’s able to identify (and advise) on best practice building solutions, suited to coastal living (hence his role in the in project). He also has a knack for spotting commercial opportunities and identifying the best source for materials that are high in quality and cost effective. He currently divides his time between the UK and Lago Reef.

Ozcan was born in Cyprus and educated at Nicosia Girls Senior High School (Lycée), graduating in 1975 from Science Group of Studies. She moved to London in 1976, where she worked as a Lab Technician at Barking Hospital (Microbiology Department, and later at King George Hospital). From 1992 she worked as an Interpreter for the the Law Enforcement Authorities (Home office, Immigration and Courts). Ozcan has a Diploma in Public Service Interpreting ‘Law option’. She also served as Magistrate for 7 years at Barking Magistrate Court until 2007.
Ozcan qualified as a Financial Advisor with CeMap 1, 2, 3 qualification in 2008. Shortly after she moved to Dubai and worked in real estate for nearly 4 years. She recently joined Mortgage Choice Direct Services in London and visits Mozambique regularly.
Born in 1987 in Istanbul, Bilge Özel received her Master of Architecture degree with honours at the University of Florence in 2012. She collaborated with various architecture firms including Studio Archea, one of the most famous architecture offices of Italy. Just after her graduation, Bilge won the study grant of Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Italy within the context of PhD.
Since 2012, she is an assistant professor in Laboratory of AMA (Architecture, Materials, Environment) and supervises various graduation thesis in architectural design. Bilge Özel currently performs her professional activity as a founding partner in her architecture firm with Marco Giuliotti in Florence and intensely working in Italy.
Born in 1986 in Genoa, Italy. Marco Giuliotti received his Master of Architecture degree at the University of Genoa in 2012. He began collaborating with various architecture firms already before graduating including Studio Archea, one of the most important architecture firms of Italy. After his graduation, Marco Giuliotti continued his professional activity in Studio Archea where he took part in several major projects among which “The General Masterplan of Zhengzhou”, “Li Ling Ceramic Museum” and “Chang li Winery”.
Upon entering The Order of Architects of Florence, Marco Giuliotti founded his architecture firm with Bilge Özel in Florence in 2013 and began an intense professional activity including numerous international architecture competitions. He is an assistant professor in Architectural Project Laboratory and supervises several graduating thesis in architectural design at the University of Genoa.
